In February, after a ten month battle with brain cancer, I lost my dear friend, Jill Holtz. Jill fought her battle as she lived her life - with dignity and grace and surrounded by all of her family and friends. My world has changed since Jill passed away and, while I miss her terribly, she gave me wonderful memories that cannot be erased. Thoughts of her smile, her laugh, her caring personality, her zeal for life and, of course, her ability to get done more in twenty-four hours than humanly possible, will always bring a smile to my face. My hope is that other people will not have to experience such a loss from this ruthless disease. I want to support the thousands of others, who, like Jill, find their lives altered irrevocably in the blink of an eye.
Although there is significant research being done in this area, there needs to be much more. Please support me as I participate in the Join the Voices! Against Brain Cancer Run/Walk.
